Once you have a completed script, what is next. How do you sell a script. The pitch is what you show producers in order to get them wanting to buy your script. There are a few things to keep in mind when writing a pitch in order to make sure your script stands out.
Things to Put in a Pitch
Remember the logline? This is something that needs to go into the pitch. This is something that is going to hopefully make sure your film stands out when you are presenting the film.
You also need to make a mood board for the film. This can be called different things but ultimately a mood board is images that represent the aesthetic of your film. It is ok to use images off Google or other search engines for this since only you and the executives will see it.

The image above is an example of a mood board. This will accompany the pitch and will show what you see when you think about the film. When making a mood board it helps to think about the world of the characters and how this matches the film.
Final Thoughts
A pitch is something that will vary a bit based on the script and the company. The important thing to remember when selling the script is to leave an impression on the people who hear the pitch. Put what you need in the pitch to make your film stand out and be something that someone wants to buy.
